1:00 PM - Glamping
Glamping is glamorous camping, sprucing up your camping area with all the touches of home! For a good definition try this link; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glamping. To participate, you'll set up a glamping site in your own home, then enter the contest virtually for a chance to win an awesome prize! Here is the topic: pick your favorite story, book, or movie. Now, imagine you could enter into that story, and create your perfect glamping site around that theme! We will post all submissions to the BRS and AHMFL Facebook pages on June 4. Vote for your favorites by hitting "Like." On the day of the Kick-Off, we will show a short video showcasing all the entries.

Please include a brief description of the story/movie and the scene you are trying to create. The deadline to submit your entry is June 3, 3:00 PM EST. 1:15 PM - Dance Party! Can you dance like a basketball player? How about like an elephant? Or an apple? Bust out your best moves for our fun family dance game with Dance Charades! Guess the theme and dance for time to win! The dancing MVP will win a prize basket with Dance Charades, an Amazon Echo Dot, and more, announced at the end of the kick-off event.Have music requests? 1:30 PM - Behind-the-Scenes Library Tour!See all the never-before-seen hidden nooks and crannies of the Alexander Hamilton Library! We'll visit the attic, view staff-only locations, and explore the basement (including a mysterious tunnel entrance), to discover the library's secrets!
2:00 PM - Kahoot FairyTale Trivia Game!Join us for a fun trivia game for the entire family! The subject will be FairyTales. There will be 20 questions and you will have 30 seconds to answer each question. The Kahoot link and access PIN will be available during the Summer Reading Kick Off event. The winning family will receive a family game night gift basket!
2:15 PM - Awards Ceremony - We'll award prizes to the Best Glamping Site, Kahoot Winner, and Dance Party Winner!
