How To: Haiku-Adults (Registration Required)

Patrons are invited to express their creativity through a calm and mindful haiku writing class to promote relaxation, self-awareness and an appreciation of Japanese culture. In this program, participants will learn about the history of Japanese haiku poetry, it’s cultural significance, Zen philosophy and tips on writing beautiful poetry of their own. Laptops and paper will be available. Sharing created poetry with the group is not required, but encouraged.
This program is free for adults only however registration is required. Please call the library or visit the circulation desk to sign up.
