    It is the policy of the Library to maintain a safe and orderly library setting that is conducive to study, reading and research. Disorderly conduct will not be tolerated.  Conduct that creates inconvenience, annoyance or alarm to the library patrons or staff is unacceptable.  Children may not be left unattended under the age of 10 in the library. Library Staff have the authority to maintain order and ensure the safety of our staff and patrons, and enforce our polices.  All patrons must comply with our posted Internet policy and procedures and our security policy.  For further information, you may request a copy of our policies from any member of the library staff. 

How do I apply for a library card?

Adult cards are issued to persons 17 years of age or older.  Patrons must register and show proof of permanent address.  Acceptable forms of identification include driver's license, checks, mail received, etc.  There is a $1.00 fee to replace a lost library card.

Juvenile cards are issued to children who are attending kindergarten up to 16 years of age A parent or legal must show proof of a permanent address as listed above and must sign the registration card.  The child must be present to sign their card.

You may fill out a library card application at the checkout desk of the library.  You must appear in person to apply for a card and present proof of residence. Once you receive your card you may check out materials. You are responsible for items checked out on your library card. 

Borrowing Policy:

Most library materials are checked out for two weeks.  Two week checkouts include:  Catalogued books, audio books, children’s books,  video tapes and magazines.

Rental DVDs  are checked out for two days, then renewable for one day at a time. There is a daily fee for rental DVDs.

Materials may be renewed up to three times.  You may renew your items in person or by phone.  Materials may not be renewed if reserved for another patron.

Fines:  Most overdue items ( books, magazines, audio cassettes, audio CDs, and video tapes ) are $.20 a day, not to exceed $5.00 per item.

Computer Use:  To use a computer at the library the patron must be in good standing.  This means no fines over $5.00 may be on the patrons account. Patrons may print copies for $.20 a copy. Patrons are responsible for all items printed.
